The Blues - Homework Project

You will research Blues music and write a paragraph on each of these questions:

1. What are the origins of the Blues? (The history – Slave Trade, etc.)
2. What are the musical features of the Blues?
3. What was the instrumentation of Blues music and why?
4. Name famous Blues composers and performers, including the names of their songs.
5. Where would Blues music have been performed and heard? (Where would you hear it & who would listen to it?)
